Using a simple tool to share the life changing message of Jesus Christ with the world gathered at the Olympic Games.
The dark color reminds us that we are all separated from God because of our sin.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Rom. 6:23
The red color reminds us that because God loves us, He provided a way to reconnect with Him. Jesus paid the penalty for our sin when He died on the cross and rose from the grave.
“God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” - Rom. 5:8
The white color reminds us that we can find forgiveness, peace and assurance through faith in Jesus Christ. If we confess our sin, He is faithful to forgive
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” - 1 John 1:9
The green color reminds us that growth is expected once we enter into a faith relationship with Jesus. Daily we should be growing to be more like Jesus.
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.” - Matt. 15:4,10
1. Gold represents the best! Olympians spend years practicing and preparing with one goal in mind - to win Gold! Gold, at the Olympics, represents the best in the world. Jesus wants us to experience the best of life. Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” - John 10:10.
2. Gold represents Heaven.
Jesus said, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” - John 14:3. Through a relationship with Jesus, we can have the best life here as well as the promise of the best for the hereafter by being in the presence of Jesus for all of eternity.
